The training manual has been created in accordance with the English language curriculum for students of the specialty 035 Philology (educational program "Applied linguistics") of the field of knowledge 03 Humanities on the basis of communicative and interactive approaches, principles of integration of all types of speech activity (listening, reading, speaking, written speech), systematicity and logic, accessibility, activity, aesthetics.
The structural organization of the manual provides for reproductive and creative foreign language activities of students within five thematic sections, each of which consists of a lexical block, a number of authentic texts, video materials, tasks for practicing communication skills, as well as grammatical reference materials.
